Our Story.

Founded by the dynamic duo, Garth & Layla in 2018, Surf Africa embodies a lifelong passion for surfing and a dream come true.

Garth’s love for the ocean began at the tender age of 7 when his family traded Gauteng for the coastal paradise of Cape Town. From that moment on, he dedicated every spare moment to the waves, nurturing a dream to one day craft his own surf brand.

On the other hand, Layla rediscovered her deep-seated love for surfing when she crossed paths with Garth. Together, they embarked on their first entrepreneurial journey in 2014, igniting the food scene with their beloved venture, Blended, the food caravan.

The home of Surf Africa is nestled at the Eat. Surf. Yoga Lifestyle Centre in Glencairn.
